Before registering a website design to search engines, should you need to know a little about the workings of Search Engines. Search engine is a database system designed to index internet addresses (URL, FTP, etc.).
Search Engines have a special program which is usually called a spider, bot, or crawler. At the time of  you register a web address (URL), spiders from search engines will accept and analyze the URL.

With certain algorithms, will decide if a web spider you submitted acceptable or not feasible. If feasible, spiders will add URL into their database systems. But if not, you have to be patient and repeated registration in a particular period.

The speed of each search engine crawlers vary. So if you register the URL now, new possibilities could be in listing within two weeks to two months. This is because there are thousands of new URLs register every day.

Google.com and AllTheWeb.com are two search engines that have current capacity of the largest crawler.
Each Search Engine has its own algorithm.
